I first became intrigued by the Tarot and its' mysteries, as a little girl, while watching a rerun of the James Bond film: Live and Let Die. I was fascinated by the lovely Jane Seymour playing the psychic medium Solitaire who uses the cards to predict many important events in this lively action movie.
Although I did not begin studying the cards in earnest until the age of 19 the impressions the images in the film made upon me in my
childhood never left me.
Now, many years later, these archetypal images have inseparably woven themselves into the tapestry of my life. The relationship I have with the Tarot has grown organically over the years. My path towards reading professionally began quite humbly; reading just for friends while clutching the tarot guidebook that came with the deck in case I had a mental block. Over the years, experience, the great teacher, has afforded me ever-blossoming opportunities in a wide variety of environments to trust my intuition and empathic abilities as well as the myriad of interpretations and combinations of the cards.
My personal philosophy of the cards is quite simple: they are a mirror of the persons energy who is receiving the reading (the querent). If one gazes honestly into this mirror and listens to the what they have to say with a spirit of openness then the end result can be incredibly affirming and inspiring, even if there are difficulties to be overcome. We all go through the experiences represented by the cards at one time or another in our cyclic journey in this life. That is the point, and indeed the reason this wonderful method was invented to help us chart our course "Ad Astra" to the stars.
